Recently, a delegation of faculty and students from the Department of Vacuum Equipment at Northeastern University visited Beiyu Vacuum Equipment Co., Ltd. for an on-site study and technical exchange. As an off-campus experimental base of Northeastern University, Beiyu Vacuum has maintained a long-term partnership with the university in vacuum coating technology, equipment development, and process optimization, aiming to efficiently integrate scientific research with industrial practice and promote the commercialization of academic achievements.
During the visit, the delegation toured Beiyu’s production workshops and gained a detailed understanding of PVD (Physical Vapor Deposition), CVD (Chemical Vapor Deposition), and multi-arc ion coating systems, including their processes, structures, and practical applications. Beiyu’s technical experts and the university team engaged in in-depth discussions on industry trends, technical challenges, and innovation directions in the vacuum equipment sector, fostering stronger links between theoretical research and industrial application.
This exchange further clarified future cooperation in technology development, talent cultivation, and resource sharing, reinforcing the joint industry–university–research collaboration and promoting technological innovation and industrial advancement in China’s vacuum equipment field.
