Structure and Specifications

The vacuum gas quenching furnace is designed for rapid heat treatment of metal components under high-vacuum or protective gas conditions, ensuring oxidation-free and decarburization-free surfaces while maintaining excellent dimensional stability. The furnace features a high-strength double-layer water-cooled chamber with multiple thermal insulation shields and a uniform heating system that enables precise temperature control and efficient heat transfer.

Available effective heating chamber sizes:
300 × 300 × 400 mm
600 × 600 × 1000 mm
1000 × 1000 × 1200 mm

Heating temperature range: 500 °C – 1500 °C
Cooling rate: up to 300 °C/min (from 1400 °C, adjustable according to process requirements)
Cooling pressure: up to 6 bar (high-pressure gas quenching system)

The furnace’s compact, hermetically sealed structure makes it suitable for both small-scale precision heat treatment experiments and batch production of medium and large workpieces.

Heating and Cooling System
The heating system employs high-purity graphite or molybdenum heating elements, achieving temperature uniformity within ±3 °C to ensure consistent heating of all parts.
The cooling system utilizes high-pressure inert gas circulation (nitrogen, argon, or mixed gases) in combination with a high-speed fan and efficient heat exchanger, enabling rapid cooling within seconds. This results in fine, dense microstructures, improving the material’s strength and toughness.
The temperature control system features multi-zone independent regulation with PID auto-adjustment, allowing programmable and precise control of complex heating and cooling curves.

Vacuum and Control System
The vacuum system consists of a mechanical pump, Roots pump, and a diffusion or turbomolecular pump combination, achieving an ultimate vacuum of 5 × 10⁻³ Pa. This effectively prevents oxidation and contamination.
The furnace is equipped with a PLC-based automatic control platform and touchscreen HMI for real-time monitoring and recording of temperature, vacuum, pressure, and cooling rates.
The control software supports recipe storage, process tracking, and batch data logging, enabling efficient quality management and repeatable production.
